I just finished sending off my last e-mail message 45 min. ago and thought
I could call it a night when my inbox filled up with a multitude of
rejected e-mail messages. GRRRR! [I'm glad I was still online so that I
could keep the message from regenerating itself.] Good for you folks who
have servers that protect your computers and return your rejected messages
back to me! My inbox is over 300 again. It's the same worm that hit the
mailing list over the weekend. Again, here is the name of the worm, and
the website follows with information on how to delete it:
                                W32/Magistr.b@MM virus

    http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=99040&

I've deleted pkirsch1@home.com from the mailing list until he can
disinfect his system. Then Paul is welcome to resubscribe.

Mike Waid (Postmaster #2), please remove Paul Kirsch's message from the
archives and also from the digest which some subscribers use to bundle
    their incoming listserv messages.

Richard Cox, thanks for suggesting that we consider a bulletin board as an
alternative to the mailing list. I discussed this possibility with our
postmaster. The Postmaster #1 says that UCD is seriously looking into
antiviral software. She is unaware of any bulletin boards that are hosted
at the campus level. Presently, I'm not keen on hosting a bulletin board
which would share the same server as SeafoodNIC. We have antiviral
software on the SeafoodNIC server and we get hits by hackers daily that
try to infiltrate the server. Its in our best interest managing a mailing
list with the support of the campus UCD Postmasters. Richard, I
appreciate your taking time to write; your suggestion will be kept in mind
    for future consideration.
