    Dear Group,

What effect will seawater glazing have on the finished product (skl/bnl hake
fillets) with a shelflife of 18 months from day of catch on board a freezer
    trawler vessel.

Any relative information or insights would be appreciated.

    Dear Paul,

    How are you doing?

Very well from myside, family is ok.
Sea Harvest has bought a new freezer vessel,H.Lindiwe.
She will produce IQF fillets onboard. It will be in the USA towards FEB/MARCH
    2001.Be on the look out.

    One question...

What effect will seawater glazing on board the vessel have on the finished
product with a shelflife of 18 months from day of catch.I am against this
because of salt crystal formation in the coldstore with the ageing of the
    product and then
    enhancing dehydration.

I "ll appreciate your comments/views on this issue.

    Regards,
    Marcellus
PS.Greg is leaving Sea Harvest end of November 2001.He becomes the R&D
