Dear Dan

The FAO web site, www.fao.org, is possibly a good place to start. On the opening page scroll down to the picture showing 'The State of ...' and click on that. There is a report on Food insecurity which can be downloaded in pdf or htlm format, or purchased in printed form. It might be worth browsing the site for other relevant information, but I find it is slow to respond.
