POSITION: Microbiology Research Leader
LOCATION: Nelson or Auckland
RESPONSIBLE TO: Seafood Team Leader
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Microbiology research programmes and associated staff
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To conduct world-class microbiology research, motivate and mentor microbiology researchers, secure revenue from government and commercial clients, and ensure profitable delivery of contracted outputs in the area of microbiology-related expertise.
Remuneration:
This is a senior research position in a developing business area. Commencing salary is negotiable and will depend on qualifications, skills and experience.
KEY TASKS
1. To carry out world-class microbiology research and to oversee completion of all microbiology research projects
Expected outcomes:
significant personal contribution to scientific research, science publications and technical reports.
objectives are achieved to a quality standard and within agreed time frames so that contractual obligations are met and client satisfaction achieved.
technical advice in areas of responsibility is provided as required.
