Does anyone have, or know where I can find, proximate analysis data for
Eulachon, Oolichan, candlefish, (smelt) from the North Eastern Pacific
(Thaleichthys pacificus). I am especially interested in fish from the
Columbia River prior to spawning. These fish are typically eaten whole
without evisceration after smoking or fried after gutting. I have some
anecdotal reports of fat content of 15 to 20% by weight.

    Thanks.
