Today on the Seafood Network Information Center web server, I created the
Seafood Plant Design Information web page. I think that links on that
site may provide you with some information on fish plant design.
      http://seafood.ucdavis.edu/pubs/plantdesign.htm

Also, I developed two other new web pages on SeafoodNIC:

      1. Processing Equipment
           http://seafood.ucdavis.edu/pubs/equip.htm

      2. Jack Wekell's 10/15/01 response on green tint in tuna made me realize
that a web site (beyond the current non-searchable mailing list archives)
is needed to retain some of the extremely valuable information that our
subscribers share with the seafood community. I've been meaning to create
a site on seafood quality. Thanks to Jack, I was spurred to develop the
      Seafood Quality Information site:
      http://seafood.ucdavis.edu/pubs/qualityinfo.htm

The "Processing by Methods" web page on the Seafood Network Information
Center at: http://seafood.ucdavis.edu/pubs/bymethods.htm was updated today
with links to many recent publications by Ed Kolbe (Oregon State Univ.):

      - Improving Energy Use and Productivity in West Coast and Alaskan Seafood
        Processing Plants
      - An Interactive Fish Freezing Model Compared with Commercial Experience
      - Measuring Temperatures
      - A Model to Predict Freezing Time (downloadable software and manual)
