    Hi Richard,

Not to my knowledge. But please note that Nile perch (Lates niloticus)is
closely related to Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) that has been farmed for
some time in Australia and some places in Southeast Asia and possibly
certain aspects of technology and experience may be transferable. But since
Barramundi would fetch a higher market price than Nile perch therefore I
cannot see any apparent reason why anybody in Asia would be tempted to
    switch to Nile perch instead.

Can anyone tell me if anyone is farming Nile perch (Lates niloticus). I am
working with the fishery here in Kenya and there was a rumour that they were
    being farmed in Indonesia.

    Thanks in advance.
