To: Seafood HACCP Mailing List
Fr: Pamela Tom, List Co-Owner
The seafood HACCP mailing list has been receiving international messages
of condolences, and I have been receiving personal e-mail and phone
messages from several subscribers attributed to the horrific events that
occurred on Tuesday.
Lewis Shuckman, a processor from Kentucky, whom I believe expresses the
sentiments of many of us in the U.S., asked me to convey his thanks to
everyone for the kind support and thought. He has printed off each
message of condolence and has it posted in his office for others to see.
I received the following message from two U.S. subscribers, Bob Jones and
Steve Otwell, and am forwarding it to the list. It will be 4 pm here on
the west coast (and even earlier in Hawaii), but I will have plenty of
candles with me to share with colleagues.
Subject: FW: Friday night
Friday Night at 7:00 p.m. step out your door, stop your car, or step out of
your establishment and light a candle. We will show the world that
Americans are strong and united together against terrorism. Please pass this
to everyone on your e-mail list. We need to reach everyone across the United
States quickly.
The message: WE STAND UNITED - WE WILL NOT TOLERATE TERRORISM!
Thank you.
We need press to cover this - we need the world to see.
