    Dear Jon, and others

Yes, fish can be thawed with air, and in my experience is a common method of
thawing fish. Go to the oneFish site, www.onefish.org, enter 'thawing' in
the search box, and click on Torry Advisory Note (TAN) 25 for descriptions
of thawing in air, in water, and by other methods.

I have never heard of thawing of seafood with air. Is somebody using this
    method?

We have used thawing machines which have given us the most control in the
procedure (time and temperature of thawing).
