Steve,
A 1987 Canadian project report from Fisheries and Oceans (No. 122 "Fish hold
liner options") mentions the use of "Rimspray TM 5" as an experiment.
Rimspray TM 5 is said to be "manufactured by Polymer Development
Laboratories Inc. of California (PDL)".
I recall Rimspray and Rimshield as being around 20 years ago, -- a "two-part
urethane based material" -- but don't know if it's still available.

Subject: brand names?
Greetings -- Among other questions, a survey of Alaska salmon fishermen
asks about the types of materials used on fish contact surfaces, such as
holds and chutes. There are a few brand names that I do not recognize,
all from harvesters in Southeast Alaska --
(1) RIM Coat (drift gillnetter)
(2) RIM Shield (purse seiner)
(3) Appiton False Deck (purse seiner)
If anyone recognizes these names, please let me know what they are (eg-
epoxy, polyethylene, urethane, etc). Thanks in advance. Regards, -- Steve
