    Dear Graham, and others

I would like to go back to Graham's message of 20 March responding to an
    earlier one of mine.

The message posted by Sue Hill refers to a marketing publication and appears
to be based on surveys carried out in the late 1980's and into the early
1990's. Yes, at that time CO2 MAP was a common format for retail sales of
fish in supermarkets in Britain and the report was upbeat for that time.
Since posting my message on 17 March I have spoken to a person who has the
opportunity to observe trends in retail marketing of fish over a wide
geographical area of Britain and he agrees that MAP packaging of fish is
much less common now than it was in the late 80's/early 90's. Packaged fish
is sold in supermarkets in Britain, but as plain overwraps on expanded
polystyrene trays or as vaccuum packs.
