    Hi Richard,

I can add a personal anecdote. I am allergic to crustacean
shellfish (much to my regret). As you might expect, I can recognize
    the symptoms very easily.

Some years ago my wife prepared some shark that our favorite
butcher had recommended. It was delicious, but it gave me the
characteristic reaction to shellfish. My guess is that the shark had
been eating crustaceans, and that its flesh contained crustacean
allergens. I complained, but in retrospect, the shark had more to
    complain about than I did!

    Best regards,
