Hi Richard,
For anyone to give you a definitive guess, a more detailed description of
the event is needed. If you can provide specifics for the following perhaps
some clues will arise.
1) Detailed description of the product, including all ingredients, how
prepared, how stored, how much consumed.
2) Description of other foods consumed 24-48 h prior to onset of illness.
3) Exact time elapsed between consumption of suspect item and onset of
symptoms.
4) Description of symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, fever, etc.) and their
duration.
5) Underlying condition of the child (how old, predisposing illness, immune
status, socioeconomic class).
6) Any other unusual facts about the event.
Regards,
Doug

Subject: Reaction to fish fingers
A child who eats considerable amounts of fish fingers (haddock) is
occasionally violently ill some time after eating them. He is not allergic
to nuts and no consistency has been found in the appearance of the
reactions.
Is anyone aware of a similar condition occurring.
Thank you in advance.
