I have the following references:
1. Kantha, S. S. (1987). "Ichthyotoxins and Their Implications to Human Health." Asian Med. J. 30(8): 458-470.
This gives a 1 paragraph summary and includes another 4 references on the subject, all of which seem to be general articles about fish toxins with reference to clupeotoxin. I could type in the refs if you need them
2. Melton, R. J., J. E. Randall, et al. (1984). "Fatal Sardine Poisoning - A Fatal Case of Fish Poisoning in Hawaii Associated with the Marquesan Sardine." Hawaii Medical Journal 43(40): 114-124.
This medical report gives a reasoned argument that concludes that a case of fish poisoning was due to clupeotoxin. The authors refer to the Halstead reference referred to by Janet Webster, and case studies by Banner et al. (1997), Vincent-Cuaz in French (1964) and WHO (1980).

Dear Listers
I am looking for information on clupeotoxin. It is listed in the FDA Fish
and Fishery Products Hazards and Controls Guide, and in other general
publications on hazards of seafoods, but with little accompanying
information. I have come across only one paper with and account: Champetier
De Ribes et al, Intoxications par animaux marins vénéneux à Madagascar,
Bulletin de la Société de Pathologie Exotique, 1997, 90.
Can anyone give a lead to literature on the subject?
