Dear Listers,
Who would have any idea what species is on the attached picture? This is a
relatively large specimen representing bony finsfish, 7-8 kg headed and
gutted weight, very thick and strong dark skin with ctenoid scales studded
with small sharp hooks in the white spotted areas, a very strong back-bone,
creamy flesh possibly with carotenoid pigment (lutein?), round body shape,
firm flesh after cooking and mild tasting. And that's all I know about the
fish. Any leads? I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
