    Further details and registration forms on the following three free
    workshops is available via the websites listed below.

    On the morning of July 11, 2000 there will be an IMPORTERS WORKSHOP
    discussing Verification Procedures, including Product Specifications and
    Affirmative Steps. Hosted by the Hawaii Customs Brokers Association in
    conjunction with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

    In the afternoon of July 11, there will be a PROCESORS WORKSHOP discussing
    strategies to control histamine formation, C. botulinum in vacuum packaged
    products, and sanitation control procedures. Other topics will include
    compliance and enforcement issues and an FDA update. Hosted by Hawaii
    State Dept. of Health, Food & Drug Branch in conjunction with the U.S.
    Food and Drug Administration.

    On July 12, 2000 there will be a SEAFOOD DECOMPOSITION WORKSHOP. Through
    sensory examination, participants will be able to detect samples the FDA
    accepts and rejects. Quality and safety issues will be addressed
    throughout the course. FDA's sensory experts will provide training in
    seafood sensory evaluation and quality attributes related to
    decomposition. Hosted by Hawaii State Dept. of Health, Food & Drug Branch
    in conjunction with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
