I am not aware of any studies on restricted locations where large amounts of
smoked fish products are consumed. I assumed from your use of the assertion
'collective populations where YPS smoked brined fish are a substantial part
of the populations daily diet such as in Russia.' that you were aware of
such studies, and knew that YPS-treated salt is used in Russia. Now you
admit that you are ignorant of these subjects.
You have advised your clients not to use salt with YPS additives. You claim
that 'The effect of this suggestion will be noticed in the near future as it
is implemented.'. What effect do you expect to be noticed?
I take offence at your opinion that 'These issues were deemed to be "too
scientific and technical" for this list so they are being pursued and
actively discussed elsewhere.'. This listserve is directed towards
scientists and technologists who are quite capable of evaluating any
information you can provide on safety of YPS. If these issues are too
scientific and technical for this listserve, where is the 'elsewhere' that
you claim these issues are being pursued and actively discussed, and how can
I access it?
