Paul:
There is no need to define your statements. They can stand for themselves. On
this list all we are interested in is obtaining detailed information that
assures food safety for everyone. Safety issues have no political boundaries
and no score cards. If YPS represents a safety hazard then lets get it out of
our food supply. If YPS represents no hazard then lets move along.
The report I received several days ago from the USDA is of great concern to
me. If you read it you would be concerned also. There is no question that UVB
releases free cyanide. If I sold food that had been brine soaked with a salt
composition that contained sodium ferro cyanide I would look for a package
that prevented UVB especially when the Department of Agriculture states that
cyanide is released even under "shade" conditions.
It really doesn't matter who I am Paul. I have questions about food safety
and I have requested studies on this matter David raised about YPS on this
list. Last week I received a startling report from USDA and I shared it with
the list. The sky wont fall down looking for the truth nor will anybody's
safety be jeopardized. GMP demands the best that science can deliver for
everyone's safety. We asked for HACCP to assure this.
Yours truly,
Marion Dewitty
