Let me intoduce me. My name is Ricardo Cunha Lima and I have a little scallop farm (Nodipecten nodosus), in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Here we constitute a Polo de Maricultura, a kind of association where all people related to mariculture discuss the problems.
Now, the major problem is the price. Some farmers want to sell the animals with 5 cm, and another want to sell with 8 or 10 cm. The problem is that there are not any kind of guidelines. Our market received scallop from Chile, China,Canada and Europe. And each country have their own commercial size (with their respctive species).
My question is if exists some kind of list or site where could I compare the species and the prices worldwide.
