Ricardo,
I think you will find the scallops (Pecten maximus) are OK for about 2 days after catching if held in refrigerated conditions covered with a damp sack, particularly if you can keep the cup side down to retain moisture. After 5 days moralities will begin to become significant.
You could try www.seafish.co.uk which is the UK's Seafish Authority's site, in particular you could try M_Boulter@seafish.co.uk. The authority has done work on bivalves in general and produced the Bivalve Mollusc Guidelines in 1997. Although Pecten maximus was not specifically targeted they may have other reports.
You could also try the Shellfish Association of GB SAGB@shellfish.org.uk.
There are still some research sites owned by the UK government. To locate the right one ring 44 1621 787200 and ask about scallops.
If you need more I can give you a contact with a UK scallop processor.
