    The crocodile man is back...
    After raising the question of feeding the tilapia after
    sunset and
    launching the controversial debate on YY broodstock,
    here is the next
    one :
    Has somebody ever tried to add caronetoids in the
    tilapia diet to
    give the flesh a pinkish colour ?
    A lot of (U.S.) farmers seem to complain about the tough
    competition
    and the subsequent low prices of the fish.
    Then, why not try to develop an "up-market" tilapia
    which could
    retail for a higher price.
    A couple of years ago, a french farmer decided to label
    snails eggs
    as "French caviar". The idea worked the trick and the
    product is now
    retailing at nearly the same price as the real stuff !
