    Dear colleagues,

I'm searching information about the surf clam process.

Presently in Quebec the clams are cooked in a batch cooker, gutting
manually and also graded by shape manually. My goal is to mechanized the
gutting and the grading operations. I know that the Franken company sell
a continuous mechanical system which one is expensive dependably of course
    of the raw product volume.

    My questions are :

1- I would like to know if someone have information about the usual process
for the gutting and grading operations.

2- Are these operations can be mechanized and which companies can supply
    equipment?

3- Somebody told me that equipment are installed onboard in New-Foundland
province in Canada? Is it possible to have the confirmation of this
    statement ?

    I appreciate your collaboration.
