A troller friend estimates about 10% in southeast Alaskan waters. Some
rivers along Lynn Canal are noted for white kings and might be as high
as 25% so it would be possible to target the fishing effort. I used to
work in Shelikof Strait and saw almost no white kings. I'm sure you'd
get a better answer than this from Fish & Game folks.
