    Hello all.

In response to Karen's and Glenn's suggestions-- please send your brief
list of research and extension activites related to organic farming to
    me by email. dechaney@ucdavis.edu

As Karen suggests, please use standard journal reference format for
articles and publications. (List publications from 2004 to current).

    For grants-- submit as:
    title

    PI

    cooperators

    source of funding

    TOTAL funding

    years (start and end year)

I will compile this and distribute results at the Nov. 13 meeting.

    Dave

    Dear Glenn,
This is a great idea. Hopefully, people will prepare
information in similar formats so that they can all be merged in some
reasonable way. I would suggest that any publications be listed with
their complete reference. Then we could compile a list of references
easily. The Organic Winegrowing Manual would be such an example. Also,
for research projects, the exact name, cooperators, source of funding
and amount of funding should be listed. That way we can add up the
outside funding coming to UC for organic research. Similarly,
presentations should give the date, full title, location, and audience.

    Hi Karen:

I agree. Let's wait to see who wants to present, and we will adjust
accordingly. The other idea that I have is that we all submit a really
brief (one page or less) list in bullet format of research projects and
extension activities. Here is an example of mine:

    * Completion of Organic Winegrowing Manual with other UC authors
    * Presentation on Organic Winegrowing in a Going Organic Seminar
with CCOF in February in Lake County
    * Research project at the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center
comparing Organic, Biodynamic and Conventional Winegrowing on soil
quality, carbon budgets and fruit quality of Cabernet sauvignon
    * Serving on steering committee for IFOAM Organic Viticulture
Conference in Modena, Italy June 2008.

This would be very useful to UC Administration to demonstrate what is
going on collectively in addressing the ANR Program Priority of organic
    agriculture.

    Regards:

    Glenn Mc.

    Dear all,
I suggest that we allow the meeting to go longer if we get
enough people who want to report on their research in what is now the
    1:20 - 2:20 slot.
