To all graduating seniors in clinical nutrition/dietetics: The following
is a
potential opportunity to gain some great work experience if you plan to
live in
the Bay area. You need to be a graduate and have completed all the ADA
coursework, and be available on a flexible basis. This is the type of
experience that helps strengthen your appliction for Dietetic Internships.
There is an opening for a part-time dietetic technician at the University of
California, San Francisco Medical Center. This position guarantees 10%
time, but in the past they have been able to offer more hours per week than
this. The work schedule is variable and will include some weekend days.
The salary for this position is $13.64/hour and does not include benefits.
UCSF dietetic technicians screen patients for nutrition risk, plan all
modified diets, calculate formulas and calorie counts, and care for patients
who are at moderate nutrition risk.
