Clinical Nutrition Research (hbs-2324)
Description: The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Clinical
Nutrition
at UC Davis Medical Center is in search of nutrition students to help with
processing food records for diet-based research studies. Students will be
trained on two nutritional analysis software programs as needed, Nutritionist
Five and NDS. Food records can be processed either on the UC Davis Campus
or at
the Medical Center in Sacramento. The current study is investigating the
effects of polyunsaturated fats (in walnuts) in individuals with polycystic
ovarian syndrome.
Requirements: Nutrition/Dietetics student interested in human nutrition
research. Experience with Nutritionist V is preferred; however, students
without experience are encouraged to inquire. Two quarter commitment is
preferred.

Nutrition Educator/Community Nutrition (hbs-2270)
Fairytale Town, Sacramento
Description: Present gardening workshops with an emphasis on nutrition to
children ages preschool to grade 4. Workshops are approximately 45 minutes in
length. Assist with maintenance of the gardens.
Requirements: Interest in gardening and nutrition. Enjoy working with
children.
