Below is the job posting for a Diet Office employee here at the UCDavis
Medical Center. Wendi (Squire) Vela, RD (an alum) has been hired in a new
position which supervises our diet office. She is in the process of changing
the qualifications of Diet Office employees to include a nutrition
background.
Specifically, she would like to hire nutrition students from local
colleges/universities because they have proven to be the most competent in
this position.
I am forwarding this to you because I think it is the ideal opportunity for
a student who might eventually apply for a dietetic internship (here or
anywhere else). This type of position is what REALLY stands out in
application packets.
If any of you are able to market this position to any of your dietetic
students, feel free (NOTE: the final filing for this one is January 15th).
They are looking to hire at least one, and possibly a second person in this
position as soon as possible.
In addition, turnover for this position as well as for our Diet Assistants
