Hi Students,
Here is some information regarding a position with the Yolo County Food
Bank. This organization will be attending the 24th Annual Internship and
Career Fair on Thursday, Oct 9, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Rec Hall.
Community Gardens Coordinator
Temporary Position (10-1-03 to 9-30-05)
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate community gardens at Winters and West Sacramento sites.
· Establish and maintain family participation.
· Coordinate with Yolo County Health Department to provide nutrition
education classes at both sites.
· Coordinate with UC Cooperative Extension and the Yolo County Master
Gardeners Program to provide gardening workshops.
· Work with Resource Developer to solicit donated materials.
· Develop survey for data collection.
· Collect data for outcome measurements
· Coordinate with Financial Coordinator on grant billing
Requirements:
· Nutrition background
· Knowledge in gardening preferable
· Data collection experience
· Computer literate
· Self motivated and able to work independently
· Team player
Compensation:
29 hours a month
$10.81 per hour
no benefits
Transportation to garden sites provided
