The Sacramento City Unified School District and UCDMC are sponsoring the
first annual “Nutrition Olympics” that will be held on June 4, 2002 from
8:30am 2:30pm. This exciting event involves approximately 900 second and
fifth grade students. Students will participate in a field day full of
games surrounding nutrition. An event of this magnitude requires at least
80 volunteers to be
successful. They are looking for volunteers to assist with field events
throughout the day.
Responsibilities include running booths and entertainment (costumes will be
supplied for entertainers). If you are willing to support SCUSD and UCDMC
in fighting obesity in our children, please contact Monique Derricote ASAP
for a volunteer form.
