Attention all students applying to Dietetic Internships:
1. The D&D computer matching cards have arrived and are available in the
Nutr.
advising office. (recall that this is the computer card that you fill out
with
your selections for DI programs that you will be applying to, and your
preference ranking. This is sent directly to D&D systems in Ames Iowa by the
deadline of Feb. 15)
2. I have received a letter from the DI Director at UC Berkeley, notifying us
that the program will be taking a "leave of absence" from admissions for the
year 2002. This means that the program will not accept any applications for
the coming year (ie. the Feb 15 2002 deadline for admission into the program
June 2002). ***Please note that the program is NOT closing, simply taking a
leave of absence. They fully expect to accept interns in 2003.
The UC Berkeley Public Health Dietetic Internship has two tracks: degree and
non-degree. The leave of absence applies to both tracks of the DI program.
***The Masters of Public Health Nutrition degree program (without concurrent
internship) will continue to admit students without interruption.
