    Hello,
This is a reminder for those of you who might have missed the message
below, sent last week, about the holiday food/gift drive. The UCD Student
Nutrition Association (SNA) has taken on a service project to adopt a
    family in
need over the holidays (through the STEAC program) -- AND YOUR HELP IS
NEEDED!!! Please consider donating items to help others during this season.
Collection boxes are in the 3rd floor Fishbowl room and 1st floor nutrition
peer advising office. The boxes must be collected & turned in to STEAC for
processing by 5 pm this Wed. 12/13, so this is an urgent request. As of Mon.
morning 12/11 there are only 3-4 items in each box. As a department of
nutrition, surely we can assist in this effort.

Please see the messsage below with list of items requested.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!

    Francene Steinberg
    Faculty advisor to SNA

Dear Nutrition Department Faculty, Staff, and Students:

Season's Greetings! During this special time of year, The Student Nutrition
Association is happily participating in the adopt-a-family holiday program
through STEAC(Short Term Emergency Aid Committee).
The holiday program is designed to provide gifts and food for Davis
families and individuals in need. The family we have adopted includes
    6 members (4 adults, 1 girl age 10, and 1 boy age 14).
We are calling on you to help in any way you can in order to make this a most
    memorable time for the family.

STEAC has facilitated the shopping process by providing a list of items that
the family would like. The items include:

CHECK: For $20 made payable to STEAC for meat

GIFTS: Please provide a new gift valued about $15-20 for each child
      girl age 10
      boy age 14
Please wrap all gifts and gift certificates. Label each gift with its
contents and the age and sex of the child for whom it is intended. Any
adult in the household would also appreciate receiving a gift.

FOOD: Please include all the items on this list for your family.
