    Hi Tamara
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you.
But now that things are getting down to the wire I am burning the midnight
oil to make up for lost time.

The breakfast will be on Tuesday, June 11. I will send more information
over the next few days with the exact time.
I hope a student from your chapter is interested in attending the
conference and participating in the breakfast.
It will be a real boost to see students from chapters and library schools in
California actively involved in the conference and in
an activity sponsored by the Information Technology Division.

Grants are available to students to cover transportation to the conference,
hotel stay (1-2 nights) and a complimentary conference registration
for the day of the Diversity and Mentoring Breakfast.

I hope you will pass this info on to a propective student.
In fact, if you have 2 students that is even better.

Unfortunately conference time is fast approaching.
So there is not much lead time. I hope to hear from you before week end.
Please respond to me at erma@prodigy.net <mailto:erma@prodigy.net> with a
copy to me at work erma.dell'aquila@morganstanley.com

    Thank You and Kind Regards

    Subject: Diversity and Mentoring Breakfast

Hello San Francisco Bay Region Chapter Officers

I am Chair, Diversity Leadership Development Committee of the Information
    Technology Division (ITE).
At the upcoming SLA 93rd Annual Conference, June 8-13, 2002 in Los
Angeles, ITE will kick-off its commitment
to diversity and mentoring with a breakfast.
The Diversity and Mentoring Breakfast will be a panel discussion on
    diversity issues.
Diversity is defined broadly and includes ethnicity, sexual orientation,
    gender, religion and disability.

As officers of your chapter I would like to ask your assistance in selecting
a member and alternate representing ethnicity
to participate in the breakfast. The breakfast is an opportunity to
address issues and topics at a national level.
It is also an opportunity to teach and enlighten others on an important
    aspect of diversity.

Please provide member and alternate names by February 29, 2002.
Please contact me at erma@prodigy.net <mailto:erma@prodigy.net> or
    erma.dell'aquila@morganstanley.com
    <mailto:erma.dell'aquila@morganstanley.com>

If there are topics or issues you would like to see addressed or discussed
at the Diversity and Mentoring Breakfast, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Erma
