When you start to do anything
Bismillah irRahman irRaheem. In the Name of Allah, The Most
Gracious, The Most Kind.
Prayer for After each Meal
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi atamana wa Praise be to God
saqana wa jaalana min-al-Muslimin. Who fed us and gave us drink and
made us Muslims.
After sneezing say:
Alhamdu lillah! Praise be to Allah!
Listener should say:
Yarhamukallah! May Allah show you Mercy!
In response to this say:
Yahdikullah! May Allah guide you!
Before Entering the Bathroom
Allahumma inni audhu bika minal God I seek thy Protection against
khubthi wal khabaith. the devils of the masculine as
well as the feminine species.
Emerging from the Bathroom
Alhamdu lillahi-l-ladhi adhaba annil I thank the Lord who relieved me
adha wa afani. of the burden and granted me ease.
Greatest words to recite
La ilaha ill-Allah, Muhammad-ur-Rasul Allah.
None had the right to be worshipped except Allah(SWT) and Muhammad is
the messenger of Allah(pbuh).
When the name of our Prophet Muhammad is mentioned
Sall-allahu alaihi wa sallam. May Peace and Blessings of Allah
be upon him.
If Planning to do Anything in the future
In sha Allah. If Allah wills, I will do so.
When leaving home
Bismillahi tawakkaltu alAllah wa la In the Name of Allah, there is no
haula wa quwatta illa billah. strength nor power except with
Allah.
Dua for the morning and evening
Raditu billahi Rabban wa bil-Islami I am pleased with Allah as the
dina wa bi Muhammadin sall-Allahu Lord and Islam as the religion
alaihi was sallam Nabiya. and Muhammad(pbuh) as the Prophet.
At the time of Anger
Audhu billahi minash-Shaitan-ir-rajim. I seek refuge with Allah from
Satan, the cursed one.
When anyone favors One with good
Jazak Allahu Khairun. May Allah give you a better
reward.
When intending to sleep
Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya. With your Name, O Allah I die and
live.
When facing an enemy
Hasbun-Allahu wa Nim-al-Wakil. Allah is sufficient for us and He
is the best disposer of
affairs(for us).
When visiting a sick person
La basa tahuran insha Allah. Never mind, it is a purifier if
Allah wills.
When visiting a Muslim graveyard
As-salamo alaikum dara qaumi-mo Peace be upon you, the dwellers
mineen wa inna in sha Allahu among the believing people; and if
bikum lahiqun. Allah wills we are also to join
you.
When any affliction occurs to me
Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon Truly! To Allah we Belong and
Allahumma ajirni fi Truly to Him we shall return.
musibati wa akhlif li khairran minha. O Allah! Compensate me for
my hardship and provide me a
substitute of it.
On entering the mosque, put your right foot in and say:
Bismillahi was-salatu was salamu ala In the Name of Allah and (pbuh),
Rasulil Allah allahummaftah li O Allah! Open for me the gates of
abwaba rahmatika. of Your Mercy.
After entering the mosque, pray two Rakah,
Tahiyyat ul-Masjid.
On coming out of the mosque, put your left foot out and say:
Bismillah was-salm ala rasulil Allah In the Name of Allah and (pbuh),
Allahuma inni asaluka min fadlika. O Allah! I ask You from Your
Favors.
After hearing Adhaan
Allahumma rabba God! The Possessor of this
hadhih-id-da-wat-it-taammati Perfect call and this Congregation
w-as-salat-il-qaimati aati standing for Prayer! Grant
uhammada-nil-wasilata w-al-fadilata Muhammad(pbuh) thy Friendship,
w-ad-darajat-ar-rafiata wabathhu Grace and Excellence and appoint
maqamam-Mahmuda-nil-ladhi waadtahu him to that exalted state the
arzuqna shafaatahu yaum-al-qiyamati promise of which Thou gave him and
innaka la tukhlif-ul-miad. grant us the favor of
Muhammad's(pbuh) intercession with
Thee on our behalf. Undoubtedly,
Thou never take back Thy promises.
Prayer after finishing the Performance of Dawn and Evening Prayers
Repeat seven times before engaging in conversation:
Allahummah ajirni minan nar. O God! Protect me From the Fire!
The Holy Prophet(pbuh) observed: After the dawn and
evening prayers, repeat the following prayer seven times
before engaging in conversation. If perchance you die in
the course of that day or night, you shall certainly be saved
from the Hell.
After Each Prayer
Repeat Astaghfir ullah I seek forgiveness from Allah.
three times and say:
Allahumma ant-assalamu wa O God! Thou art the peace an
mink-as-salamu tabarakta ya peace, Blessed art Thou, Lord of
dhal-jalali wal-ikram. Majesty and Glory.
Prayer for Mercy and Forgiveness
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa in lam O Lord! We have wronged
taghfir lana wa tarhamna ourselves. If Thou forgive us
lanakunanna min-al-khasirin. not and have not mercy on us,
surely we are of the lost.
Dua to begin Fast
Bi-Saum-in ghadin nawaitu min I have the intention to observe
shahr-i-Ramadan. tommorrow a Fast of the Month of
Ramadan.
Dua to break Fast
Allahumma la-ka sumtu wa'ala O Allah! I have observed the Fast
rizqi-ka aftart-u. for Thy sake and broken it with
the provision bestowed by Thee.
