Twice. Mr. Robertson replies (in a lawyerly passive voice) that
the message from PENTATONIKA is "being sent" to me because I am
on a mailing list (scil., MList), and therefore he is evidently
powerless to control the conduct of the mailing.

Mr. Robertson is a contributing subscriber to MList. The proper
way for a subscriber to notify fellow subscribers of something
on offer is to write THROUGH THE LIST ADDRESS and provide the
information. It is Spamming when a subscriber accesses the
subscriber list, and strips it off to use SEPARATELY as a mailing
list for some other purpose, no matter how benign.
