This is a reminder that the deadline for submitting proposals for papers to
be presented at the Fall meeting of the Greater New York Chapter of the AMS
is July 1, 2001. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 13 and the
tentative location is New York University (the location will be confirmed in
the near future).
Proposals from all areas of musicology are welcome; however, we are
especially interested in receiving proposals for a session on issues in jazz
research.
Proposals are welcome from both chapter members and non-members but those
from members will be given priority. If you would like to propose a paper,
please send an abstract of no more than 500 words to Charlotte Cross,
Chairman, GNYC-AMS at 315 West 98th Street, #5E, New York, York 10025 or by
email to chcross@aol.com.
Papers should not exceed twenty-five minutes.
