    On 31-5-01, I wrote

    >ask whether UCD is being irresponsible?

I tried to choose my words with some care ("may I ask ... ?"); but in
deference to the sense of injustice that I think I perceive in perfectly
courteous responses from Philip A. Todd and Dana S. Emery to my earlier
message. I eagerly and unreservedly declare that I didn't _mean_ to accuse
UCD or anyone associated with MList of being irresponsible.
