A query from a friend:
<<Does anyone know anything about the following works attributed
to Prokofiev?
They appear on a number of recordings, but I've been unable to
track them
down in works listings (Da Capo, Grove, web, etc.). Are they
"fantasy"
pieces cobbled together from other works à la Gershwin's "Crazy
About You"?
Examples of juvenilia? Transcriptions? Sections of larger pieces?
If they are authentic Prokofiev works, does anyone know their
dates of composition? Thanks.
Prince Ivan and the the Frog Princess
Eleonora, for harp
Vivo in G minor, for piano
Scherzo in D major, for piano
Serenade, for violin and piano>>
Private replies, I guess.
