TWO LECTURESHIPS
£18,731 - £30,967 p.a.
As a result of vigorous expansion, two new posts are available.
Creative Music Technology - Ref B052
The appointee will lead teaching in this area, including the new MA in
Creative Music Technology, and will become Director of the Department’s
studios. Any specialism is welcome but an openness to technology
applications in contemporary popular music is essential.
World Music - Ref B052A
The appointee will develop and lead the Department’s work in this area.
Any world music specialism is welcome but an interest in
popular/vernacular musics and/or in applications of contemporary
cultural theory will be advantageous.
For both posts, outstanding research performance or potential is
essential. Candidates should be sympathetic to the pluralistic culture
of the fast-expanding Music Department at Newcastle. Both posts are
open-ended, and appointments will be made at an appropriate point on the
Lecturer A or B scale.
