We are using the web based LegalTrac. The interfaces have changed and I
find them slightly less convenient than the old search screens. It is more
reliable that the the CD-ROM version that we previously ran from our tower
and our other libraries around the state can now access the service. I am
very disappointed in the amount of full-text available via LegalTrac
compared to other databases in this "family of products" that now belongs to
Gale. I think that out of over 1000 titles that are indexed only about 50
have full-text access. It seems that pricing is comparable to the other
Infotrac products like the Health Reference and Business databases that
offer more full text. I realize that Gale does not control which
publications offer full-text access but I think the small amount available
should be reflected in the price.
