Recently I was asked if there was such a things as an IPO watch service. Now
I'm not quite sure what the attorney was asking for. I don't know if he
wants to be informed everytime a new IPO files with the SEC or if he wants
to be alerted when an IPO begins to trade.
To obtain a list of recent IPOs, both Yahoo Finance and CBS Market Watch
have a listing of this weeks IPOs, while IPO Renaissance Capital has a
calendar of next weeks IPOs and beyond. Therefore, it seems that this is
easy enough to monitor without having a watch service. The other type of IPO
watch is that offered by such companies as eWebWatch which monitors upcoming
offerings, indications of interest, beginning of trading and re-confirmation
for upcoming IPOs. Does anyone know anything about these types of alerts?
Any recommendations? TIA
