Colleagues: I would appreciate it if you would disseminate the following as
widely as possible to help us in our search.
Tarlton Law Library, Jamail Center for Legal Research at the University of
Texas School of Law, is seeking candidates for its student fellowship,
which will be available at the beginning of the school year in Fall 2000.
The purpose of the fellowship is to bring lawyers into librarianship, and
candidates must hold a J.D. and be accepted into the program at the UT
Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) to be
considered. The fellow will train 30 hours per week in the Law Library,
gaining experience in every library department. Tuition and fees for the
Master's degree in Library and Information Science will be paid by GSLIS.
More information and an application are available at
http://www.law.utexas.edu/fellowship.
The deadline for applications is January 31, 2000, although that may be
extended if the applicant pool is insufficient.
If you have any questions, please contact Keith Ann Stiverson, Deputy Law
Librarian, the University of Texas School of Law, Tarlton Law Library, at
