Paula,

Based upon two semesters of teaching Professional Responsibility, I'd
suggest the Annotated Model Rules of Professional Conduct published by
the ABA - it has lots of comments and case citations that fulfill much the
same function as Hazard's two volumes. I'd also suggest the most recent
version of the Restatement of the Law of Lawyering. That is available in
hard copy and on Westlaw. It is a very good source for genral rules and
for hypotheticals and case citations. Finally, Charles Wolfram's single
volume treatise Modern Legal Ethics, while fairly general, is well
respected.
