QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements: Master's Degree in Library Science and/or
JD Degree; ability to work cooperatively and effectively with
others; good teaching, advising, and public speaking skills.
experience with online systems, microcomputer hardware
and software, computer applications as related to libraries,
the Internet and HTML, knowledge of legal bibliography
Desirable: Academic law library and teaching experience;
experience with legal research, INNOPAC, WESTLAW and
LEXIS, Novell 4.11 and GroupWise, and Distance Learning
technology.
DUTIES: The Reference Librarian for Electronic Resources
serves as part of a strong Public Services staff providing
reference service and legal research and Internet instruction.
The Reference Librarian for Electronic Resources will also
work with the library administration to set long- and
short-range goals for library computer- based technology;
develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures
concerning library computer services; provide operational
support and system administration for the library's
integrated, automated system (INNOPAC); trouble-shoot
library-owned computers and software; keep library staff
informed of current developments and trends in information
technology; and carry out/assist with other library operations.
SALARY: $32,500 minimum
