Dear AALL Member,
This year we will create a NEW Strategic Plan for the Association. The
Strategic Plan is the key document for Association activities, it
articulates initiatives and sets the direction and focus for budget and
activities. We have a lot of information to use in developing the plan;
Membership Survey's from 1996 and 1998, Annual Meeting Audience Survey's,
Spectrum Readership Survey's; prior year plans, feedback from the Annual
Conference etc.
We want to provide every member an opportunity to tell us what is important
in their professional lives. Therefore, we are inviting you to participate
in an _unscientific_ survey. It is the same survey distributed in
Registration packets at the annual conference in Washington. To

Please tell us what you think. We want to know how AALL can make a
difference in your professional life.
Please submit your opinions by September 13. The Strategic Planning
Committee starts work in October.
