     I have been asked to determine when a certain section (R.S.O., c.
     S.19,s.4) - Statute of Frauds changed and if this change applies
     retroactively.

     We have no Canadian Statues here, but I have located the section on
     LEXIS. The section that I am concerned about is entitled "Writing
     required for certain contracts." It has a history notation that
     reads: 1994,c. 27, S. 55 - so I know that it was changed sometime in
     1994.

     I have read the entire chapter online and cannot find any language
     that specifically mentions the effective date.

     Any assistance would be appreciated.
