The law firm of Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach, LLP, a national law firm, seeks a law librarian for a newly created full time professional position to manage all aspects of library services for attorneys, paralegals, and staff in its San Diego office.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to research, reference assistance and instruction, inter-library loans, bibliographic research and acquisitions, resource sharing, library automation, collection maintenance and general library administration.
Qualified candidates should possess an M.L.S. or its equivalent, a minimum of 5 years experience as a law firm librarian in a supervisor/manager position, excellent research skills in print and electronic resources including on-line databases and the Internet, plus a strong knowledge of legal bibliography. Additional qualifications include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong service orientation, the ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
