The AALL Publications Committee is seeking an interested AALL member
to
serve as the General Editor of the AALL/Rothman Publications Series.
This
individual will serve as the liaison between potential authors, the
Committee, and the William S. Hein Company while manuscripts are
being
developed.
Specifically, the General Editor will have responsibility for:
suggesting
new topics for series titles; locating authors and editors for
series
titles; coordinating the relationship between the authors/editors of
both
AALL and W.S. Hein; providing guidance and direction to
authors/editors
during the writing and editing process; reviewing manuscripts for
approval
as AALL-sponsored publications; and ensuring the realization of each
series
title. The General Editor will not take on detailed editing of
individual
volumes.
Members interested in serving as General Editor should be interested
in
legal writing, and have experience with and be comfortable in working
with a
commercial publisher. The Committee invites candidates to submit
their names
by November 1, 1999 to: Judy Meadows, State Law Library of Montana,

select the General Editor by December 1, 1999.
