How about her local public defender office? - There's nothing more
rewarding than defending the rights of the indigent, mentally ill &
juveniles. The Public Defender is well known as an excellent place for
young attorneys to rec. top rate trial experience & paralegals enjoy equal
opportunities for valuable experience that would take *years to obtain at a
commercial for-profit firm. It's an excellent education as well, if she is
concerned about social issues, in understanding the enormous diff. between
high profile crim. commercial defense attys & the role of the public
defender in protecting the indigent who do not have the means for even the
simplest legal transactions that most of us take for granted - Government
statistics show that over 20% of those incarcerated are absolutely
*innocent of the crimes of which they were convicted - their only "crime"
was being poor & not having the ability to afford legal counsel.
Her good skills would be making a huge social impact.
