A friend in academia has a daughter recently graduated from college
who is considering working for a year or so as a paralegal with a "socially
conscious" law firm that specializes in such areas as environmental law
(presumably not defending polluters), civil rights (presumably in support of
same), or other similarly admirable work. She is interested in Boston, New
York, or Providence. Anyone have any suggestions on how one might identify
law firms that meet her criteria?
