JOB AVAILABLE: Reference Librarian (New Position)
The Law Library of the University of Colorado at Boulder is seeking a
motivated and energetic individual to join its Public Services Department.
The Law Library offers a collegial work environment with support for
professional development. The law librarians are challenged by the
interesting and complex information needs of the Library's users. The
Reference Librarian will report to the Head of Public Services.
The Law Library collection of approximately 380,000 volumes and
equivalents includes strengths in constitutional law and jurisprudence,
environmental law and natural resources, and American Indian law. The Law
Library supports 35 full-time law faculty members and 500 law students.
It has significant use from the University community, the local bar, and
the public. The faculty of the School of Law includes exceptional
teachers and prolific scholars in widely diverse fields. The student body
is among the most highly qualified in the country. The School has two
journals: the University of Colorado Law Review and the Colorado Journal
of International Environmental Law and Policy. The resources of the campus
libraries support the interdisciplinary and non-law needs of the Law
School. The Law Library participates in the statewide "Prospector"
catalog and other consortial programs. A new building for the School of
Law and Law Library is in the planning stages.
Boulder is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The city has
beautiful scenery, a moderate climate, and a wide range of cultural and

the resources and amenities of the region within easy access.
